5 Reasons Why You Should Try "Disney After Hours" at the Magic Kingdom

Greetings fellow Disney enthusiasts! I have some wonderful news to share with you! I recently got to experience the brand new limited time event, Disney After Hours at the Magic Kingdom.

Here are the details: the event started April 14th and will last until May 19th, it costs $149, you get access to the park from 7:00pm-2:00am, most attractions are open, and you get unlimited ice-cream and Coca-Cola products.

Now, I know already you are thinking that the cost is way too much to only get a few hours in the park. However, I’m here to tell you that this event is completely worth it and here’s 5 reasons why.

1. No Lines!

On a normal day at the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney Resort, one can (and will) spend hours waiting for certain attractions or character experiences. The beautiful thing about this event is that the lines are non-existent! To give you an example, I love the Disney Princesses! They are all adorable and are so much fun to meet. With that being said, I never wait to meet them because I simply refuse to wait longer than thirty minutes for anything. (Yes I know, I am a line snob). At this event I met, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Elsa, Anna, and Ariel (my favorite) within twenty-five minutes! For Anna and Elsa alone, it could take up to ninety minutes on a normal day.

2. Snacks Included

I feel as if this does not need much explaining, but I will anyway! Throughout the park, there are stations for Coca-Cola bottled drinks and the delicious ice-cream stands. Unlimited Mickey Bars was a good enough reason for me to attend this event! While most restaurants close during the After Hours event, it is nice to have snacks included.

3. Experience More Attractions

This, of course, is a symptom of the short lines, but this event is perfect for the family that may only go to Walt Disney World every few years. By coming to this event, you will be able to experience so many more attractions than you would during a normal day at the Magic Kingdom.

4. Tourist-Free Photos

How cool would it be to get a photo that makes it look like you are the only one in the park? It is very easy to do that at this event.

5. Memories

The beautiful thing about Walt Disney World and the Magic Kingdom is they bring families closer together. This event allows people to spend time with loved ones and not worry about sprinting from one attraction to another. I have made so many memories at these parks, and I know that this event allows for even more unique memories to be made.

In conclusion, when I first heard about this event, I thought it was expensive and not worth the time. After experiencing it, I found out I was completely wrong. Walt Disney World has hit a home run with this event, and it should be taken advantage of. I guarantee that this will be one of the greatest experiences at the Magic Kingdom you have ever had. Be sure to contact your travel agent (preferably me if you do not have one) and book this trip now!
